Shelley Rumbolt - General Manager

A Newfoundland Maple- Written by Samantha Baker and Illustrated by Dawn Baker.

Recently becoming a new Nana in 2020, I find myself reaching for books that are written for a younger audience. That’s why this book in particular pulls me in. I was so happy to hear that Flanker Press published this book and it arrived just around the time my grand child was born. The words are printed so clear to see and the pictures are bright and beautiful. With every page that you turn, the attention to detail just draws you right into the story of the book and makes you feel like you are one of the characters. This book is about a young boy enjoying his fishing trip adventure with his grandfather that leads to learning exciting things about a maple tree and how all the animals take shelter in it. This book is a definite must! My granddaughter Scarlett and I love it!!
